Hello! My name is Ashley Selby and I’m a children’s illustrator living in coastal North Carolina.

You may know me from Joel and Ashley Draw or even older, This Paper Ship, which is mostly what I’ve been up to since 2008. I’ve worked alongside my husband (whom I also attended art school with) and we created a collaborative style that works well in children’s market games and books. Together we’ve worked for companies like Target, Cottage Door Press, Wonderforge, Highlights, or Silver Dolphin Books.

Dizzy Dreamer Draws is my own illustration style which I hope to grow into a solo career. I have a passion for hand drawn, textured, emotive characters, storytelling, detail, and whimsy.

I hope to explore picture books, chapter books, book covers, product/retail illustration, window paintings, murals, and commissioned pieces.
